This movie was rather hilarious.

First thing to say is this flash had a funny idea that was indeed well executed. It was clever how you used something every user has seen at least once and thought about pressing and turned it into an overexaggerated movie in which the user thought way to much about pressing the button. Of course, the outcome was "accurate" as you say. Everything about this movie was funny in one way or another and I just loved how everything was over exaggerated as I said. The visuals were nicely done, though it would have been nice to see a slightly more detailed character, but he was pretty funny looking anyways. Everything about the sound was great as well, the sound effects, the voice acting and so on. The dialogue made the sound even better, the complex reason about whether or not he should press the fart button.

Overall this was a funny movie with a great idea within. Please keep up the good work, I want to see more!

Thanks for the longer review, it's nice to see.

Fun for the whole 20 minutes!

This is without a doubt the best Thowmps submission yet and your best submission as far as I know, and this wasnt just because of the length but what happened during those 20 minutes. You have some clever uses with some of the sprites that I just havent seen before. The thwomps for one are unique to me and I have only seen them being used in your own series. They had different expressions, different shapes and sometimes different colours, in other words a huge variety of the same type of character. The storyline was great, well-presented and was generally unique as well. This is maybe the first time that i saw Mario and Luigi on the losing end of a fight, and they were sort of portrayed as good guys but at the same time bad guys to the main characters. The sound and voices were nicely done too, except a few lapses in the voice acting it was pretty much perfect. The visuals were pretty good, though not quite on the same level as the best animated sprites, they were certainly way above the average.

Overall this was a great movie that managed to stay entertaining the full 20 minutes. It was funny, well animated and the effort was noticable all around. Way to go!

Just as wierd as your others! Very Funny!

This was definitely a great movie, but not for the usual reasons a flash is, but more for how "odd in a good way" it is. The animation style was similar to all your other movies, but it still remains very funny, original and just generally fun to look at. I love how the characters look with their skinny arms, funny faces, and in this case their multiple legs. The voices are another group of things I consistantly remember from each of your movies, really funny expressions most of the time. The subject matter of this particular movie is simply impossible to describe in a single sentence because it wasnt just a health warning, there were so many other oddities going on at the same time including the multiple legs, the extremely complex solutions that seemingly formed something that looked like graffiti and the number 3. All of it was weird, but in a good and entertaining way.

All in all, I hope you keep making movies with similar styles to this, and Salad fingers. I cant wait until your next submission!

Good but definitely not without its flaws.

There were some good things, and some bad things throughout this movie, but the final product still did manage to be entertaining. To start: I had mixed reactions about the visuals. While the drawings themselves were very nice, they was not quite enough to hold them up. The animation was a little awkward for me, all the movements were stiff and the characters didnt seem to have any limbs. The backgrounds did their job, but i would have still liked to see some more detail in them. Sadly, according to your authors comments you didnt draw the main characters/the spaceships: the things I found impressive. The sound was actually quite decent. The voice acting could use some going over a little here and there as well as the audio quality, but for the most part the sound effects and voices worked really well. The humour was alright at first but it kind of grew stale before the movie ended because each joke was pretty much of the same type: pointing out the games flaws in sentences. The jokes werent exactly incredibly original either.

This critique is just something that gives the wrong impression in my eyes, the movie seemed rushed for a few reasons. While the visuals, sound and the sheer length of the movie suggested there was effort put into it, the subtitles had many spelling errors and didnt really always match up with the dialogue. Another thing is you didnt have a real title, which makes it look a little less professional.

Overall, despite my many critisms, this was a fun movie to watch and there is plenty to say about it. I hope with your next submission you can improve on some things to ultimately better your score! 4/5

Okay, thanks for your comments man.
Of course only the art I didn't make were good, why do you think I hired other illustrators to begin with ^^;
Tough by having someone else draw them, I was limited with movement freedom in the characters, resulting in the stiff animation.

Ah well, glad you liked the movie in general.

Better than the last one, great job again!

This had everything the first one had, plus more! This had the same well animated action and blood, the same atmospheric feel to it and the exact same sense of a survival horror type game. I am a little confused as to what side the main character is on, he seemed to be killing cops as well as the asylum's inmates. One of the songs had a slightly different feel to it than any others so far, but it was certainly appropriate for the part in which it was used. The Tool song you used, which was quiet then ramped up and really started right as an inmate broke through the wall; this whole scene was intense and really well done.

Overall this 2nd episode seemed to me improved over the previous one. Keep up the good work, I hope the next Asylum can be even better!

Really cool!

This was an interesting flash submission for a few reasons. It was cool trying to figure out exactly what was going on and what was going to happen next and maybe even when something was going to pop out at him. The atmosphere to this movie was probably my favourite thing about it, it was scary, dark with the lights flickering, and the guy was by himself. The sound really helped this mood too, the very well selected song seemed to really accentuate the supposed emptiness of the hallways. The gunshots also seemed to echo slightly as they were fired. The atmosphere gave the feeling of a survival horror along the lines of Resident Evil. Other than the mood you created, the visuals were pretty good despite the characters being stick figures and the blood looked great.

Overall this was a very atmospheric movie and one of the better stick figure animations I have seen for quite a while. Im looking forward to watching and reviewing Asylum2!

Hilarious, I cant wait!

I can not wait to see a first full episode of this series, this preview had all I would expect to see including the humour, clever idea, and even the visauls. I liked how the animation style was similar to that of TANKMEN and even the voices were similar as well. Though these two things were similar, however, you still managed to make this movie your own by adding in MasterChief among other things. The audio quality could have been improved but im sure that will be improved by the time the real video comes out. The humour was awesome, this is definitely one of the funnier movies I have seen recently, and this is only a preview!

Anyways I really am looking forward to this completed movie. Keep up the good work!

i really appreciate ur detailed response. I like it when people tell me what was funny. I can aim to better the humor if parts are specified. Glad u liked it!

The coolest 3D movie on the site.

Overall this was the most stylish, and cinematic 3D movie I have seen on the entire site. Though it isnt without its imperfections the final product was superb on all levels. The visuals, to start, were very well done overall. I liked the use of really only black, white and grey to give it that sort of Sin City feel as you mentioned. The character design was cool, though perhaps a little rough around the edges, and it would be nice to have some backgrounds if you could manage. The camera angles were pretty well used for the most part as well, to kind of give the audience a different perspective on the scene, you even went first-person for a little bit! The action sequences all looked and sounded great, you were successful in making it seem as though there was really a lot of chaos happening on screen. While the voice acting was pretty decent it was still kind of hard to understand what they were saying because of the lower quality, but at least you put in subtitles. Other than that I loved everything about the sound including the gunshots and the great music.

Overall this was an awesome start to a possible new series. You should definitely continue this series and keep improving at what you do!

LogFish responds:

Thank you so much, what a nice review! I think I will continue it with this kind of reception :)

Thanks again, you're a great reviewer!

The rotoscoping worked really well!

That was a really well done collab, everyone seemed to do their parts very nicely and with effort. The visuals were great on every author's part, and the rotoscoping technique really worked in the collab and for the subject of the collab itself. The graphics in general were interesting because while every clip did use rotoscoping animation with their characters, they were all different; some had patterns in them for example. The animation styles of the backrounds all differed as well. The subject was interesting, freerunning seems like the perfect thing to do with this unique animation technique. I also liked the song choice because it fit in nicely with the action. I do think it should have been longer with 11 artists and probably a longer song to go with it.

Anyways good job guys, this was definitely fun to watch!

One of the only good Madness not made by Krinkels!

Everyday in the portal there are Madness Tributes, games and remakes but none of them manage to impress even a little bit like the real thing. But this collab ,however, did impress and was very entertaining all the while. Every clip was showed some good talent from each of the others and all stayed true to the Madness series in one way or another. The one problem I had is how every animation style, except DaVeB0t's, were the same and usually in collab I really enjoying seeing a whole bunch of different ones come together. Considering this, it still didnt really take away from how entertaining this was.

My favourite clips were DaVeB0t's and Doodfayz' because those two stood out as as unique to me. The addition of comics and short clips, along with the great actual collab leads to a very well done submission!

YK-Blaze responds:

thanks! d00dfayz and davebot did make unique parts that what made this collab into a good one davebot used a diffrent madness style while d00dfayz made a funny one the rest was action(there were some other funny stuff..) anyways thanks

I havent been on NG in so long, this redesign might bring me back!
