Great job! Fun song you chose to animate too!

Way to go on this movie and every aspect in it. I actually havent heard the song before, but im so glad i eventually did, its truely one of the better songs i can remember that i have heard from the Audio Portal. But you certainly did it justice with this movie as well, so all the credit shouldnt go to Denvish himself. You had great animation, a cool idea and a good, clean sense of humour that i think anyone can like. Here is my review.

The graphics were just great, they were definitely what id call "fun" and certainly fit the movie and the song itself. They were simple, and thats what i loved about them in this case, except you should try to add in some slightly detailed backgrounds at least. I loved the little characters too, especially the little guy playing guitar, it was almost cute! Smooth colours and animation made for a nice final look to them! The style was awesome for the most part, but a few small things made me think a little differently in the end. Such as the length, it wasnt totally satisfying, and i know you did a music video and the song happened to be a bit short, but you can put small animation clips before and after the song next time! Good idea though, choosing to animate to a funny song like this. The sound was awesome, the song alone was good enough for a 9 for sound, but there werent other sound effects where i felt small ones could be.

Overall this was a great movie, fun for everyone or it looks as though you tried to do so at least. Congrats on the Daily Feature, you certainly deserve it, anyways i hope you can keep working on movies and i hope you keep improving your skills as time goes on!

I have not much time so i have to make this brief. I'm really sorry but i have no choice...

I read your comments and i noticed that you spotted qute a few flaws that the others did. I'm working on fixing them and trust me, they WILL be fixed.

As for the pros you spotted, thanks for spotting them!

Glad you liked the song! Peace out!

This wouldnt dissapoint the fans for sure!

Nice job man, this was pretty good in every aspect. This didnt really come down to how well the aspects themselves were done, but rather how polished each one of them were, because to me the whole thing seemed a bit rushed, even though it probably wasnt. I was amused for sure, but i still felt everything could have been touched up here and there. Still your fans would be happy, but it may not bring too many new ones in. Here is my review.

The graphics were great, but they did seem unpolished at times, for example, some backgrounds such as the main one were too simplistic, some animation seemed "reused" from last episodes, and some drawings just didnt seem to fit in as good as they could have. But i did like the character designs for the most part, especially Fierce Diety Link's design. The animation was generally pretty good, sometimes it remained on a single image for too long though, like when Link's son was crying over his father's death. The style was great, good animating style, but i have seen better from you in previous episodes. The idea is awesome though, and since im a fan of the Zelda series it helps even more. I love how you create a backround for this "your own" link, with a bit of history at the start, and kind of what he is feeling. I found the story was really well done, but maybe the ending is a bit cliché. The sound was good, and well chosen on its own, but when mixed some things seemed out of place. The most noticable example for me would be the song, how it was awesome during the fight scenes, seemed to intense and fast paced for a death type scene, and how it continued to play after the movie was done. The sound effects and voice acting was good though, but the quality could use some tweeking.

Overall this was a good movie, only seemed to be lacking fine tuning, and polish on some areas. This will certainly keep the fans of the series entertained, especially with all the violence and action that many love about this series. I hope the next one can be even better than this one, im sure it will be. Nice job man!

ty for the review. I'll try to make the next one better. Most work on NG looks like they use the pen tool. I use the mouse and freehand draw, so its a different graphics effect, not so smooth and polished looking but I do a lot of frame by frame to make up for it. MAybe Im not improving much as these go, but the story in this one is what I emphasized and I did better with that than before. It didnt make front page for being #1, so I have a lot to work on. Now finding the time, thats half the battle..

Haha, very funny and very creative!

Awesome job on every aspect in this movie man. Im surprised how well this turned out with a different style and everything, plus i dont think the score quite reflects this, in my opinion. The graphical style wasnt the only original thing in this either, the whole idea was very creative. Maybe a little weird in a way, but certianly weird in a good way. I love how everything, with one exception, was done in terms of how you made your idea work with a cool animating style and funny characters. I can even see a series coming out of this. Here is my review.

The graphics were definitely something to be impressed by. While they werent "manificent" and "sublime" they did such a great job in this movie. The unique style you used added a whole sense of originality to it right off the bat. And i really liked how this style was done too, they almost seemed like paper cut-outs with simple moving mouths, it was just perfect for what you had planned on happening in this. The characters were cool, nicely detailed and certainly quite memorable. The animation was simplistic, but it was obvious you meant to keep it this way, and im glad you did. The style was awesome too, the one thing i didnt particularily like in this was the ending, i mean it just kind of happened, and then the movie was done. Other than that i loved everything, including the animating style which also helped out here. The idea was wonderful, and the way you presented it was almost even better. You did a great job of giving those characters personalities in a fairly short amount of time. The sound was very good, mostly because of the voice acting in this case. The expressions were fantastic, and each time they said "charlie" i started laughing out loud.

Overall this was an awesome movie on all levels, it would be cool to see these characters in at least one more cartoon, or even a series later on. You have the sense of humour necessary for a successful series on NG. Either way, keep on submitting high quality entries into the portal!

Thanks for the review! :-)

Very good, better than the last one!

Way to go on this one, i remember seeing the last one a very long time ago, and i enjoyed it because its very different than anything else on this site, and this new style was actually done well. I always appreciate artist who can try something different on occasion, or maybe all the time. And when they do this new style well, i cant help but like them even more. This one was original in terms of the style and certainly the plot as well, though you did use some familiar elements for the plot. Here is my review.

The graphics were great, this is where that unique style came in to play here. There was other animation in this, and even that came out well, there was good detail, colours and the animation was actually smooth. The cut-outs were pretty cool, you definitely do this style justice. There are many different facial expressions, showing you took a lot of pictures, and hence the effort was there. Good job on all the cutouts, they came out nicely! The style was awesome too, not just because of your animating style. The idea was cool, pretty original in terms of its presentation. The length was pretty much perfect, long enough to enjoy everything and not short enough where i was left wanting more. The sound was great too, the voice acting was pretty well done, the expressions were good all the time. And the sound effects were good too, maybe a bit simple sometimes. The quality was good enough, but it could be a little clearer. I liked the violence in this, as well as the humour!

Overall this was an awesome movie, certainly very original and amusing to watch. This is the best one in the series too far. I hope you guys can keep getting better and better with each episode. Im looking forward to the next one!

RavenJinn responds:

This is what I call a review, thank you.
you are totally right!

Wow! The best one yet!

Amazing job guys, this one is definitely the best one so far, and for many reasons. It is very noticable when you watch the episodes one after another how much you guys improve each one. And these improvements show you are putting more and more effort into each one, and i love any artist who is actually willing to work on their talents, or even just put effort into something. Its also really nice to see some familiar artists in their, such as Mp3 Lock, having him is kind of ironic in a way, i mean in the space shooter game you could kill locks. Anyways here is my review.

The graphics were awesome, better than in the other AFD's in my opinion. The artists that have been in other ones seem to have stepped up their visuals a little bit, and new artists to this series also did a really nice job. The drawings were great, fun to see familiar characters, with a bit of a new style to them. All the characters were really well done, even the ones getting killed, they looked almost exactly alike compared to their real versions. The detail was always nice, in both the characters and the backgrounds, and i guess you could say many of the movements were even detailed. And way to go on the animation, always really smooth, id like to mention Topz's work on the animation, brilliant man! The style was awesome too, that has been one of this series trademarks. You can always expect tons of violence, killing things that you want dead or would just be good for a laugh or two. The idea of the whole series is fantastic, and truely a good way to "kill" NG fads for sure. Some animating styles in this were pretty good as well, while others could use come tuning in some areas. The sound was awesome too, certainly better than Fred Durst. Not only that but there was a larger variety of songs in this too. The sound effects were really good, they were cool and sometimes they added some humour like in Mp3's clip where Foamy was buzzing around the room, at least it seemed like that. There was plenty of violence, a good amount of humour and even some interactivity in this one, this is a nice demonstration of effort!

Overall this was an awesome movie, for pretty much every reason i can think of. It was the best one in the series by a fairly large margain, and it isnt a wonder why. Better visuals, interactivity, new artists, and the list goes on. I hope you guys can keep making these, and continously making them better and better!

Nicely Done!

Very good guys, this is probably my favourite submission by you guys since the last actual College University episode. This one had the same great sound and visuals that your other submissions have, but the humour was more my style in this one. Theres nothing that really harmed it much, just a few things that could be slightly improved here and there. I mean you had everything you needed to, but somethings could be executed with a bit more originality i guess is the best way of putting it. Anyways here is my review.

The graphics were awesome, truthfully, i didnt pay much attention to the title until i saw the characters. I knew it was you guys right away, in other words you guys have a very good and distinct animating style. The colours are always well done with you guys as well, they arent too complex but they definitely suit the movie. The animation was really good too, every aspect of your visuals basically fit in together quite nicely. The style was great too, i would like it if maybe it was a bit longer, and maybe a bit more structured. I mean there was a bit of a story but not a real point to it. The presentation was good anyways, it was funny and you actually put effort into this. The sound was great too, great voice acting as always. And sufficient sound effects as well, nothing amazed me here but it was all good none the less.

Overall this was a great movie, and very done on all aspects. I like how you guys are always consistant with your stuff, its just one of the signs of great artists. I hope you guys make more good animations very soon!

Hey thanks for the detailed review- glad you liked it and took the time to write such a thought out review...
We'll keep working on the little points and storylines to make the show great...Thanks!

Awesome, perhaps the best one yet!

Very good man, with each submitted episode i am liking the series more and more. Blockhead is becoming a much more memorable character everytime he does one of his trademark actions, such as saying something stupid or totally irrelevant. Your visuals have been impressive in each one, and the same goes for the style and the sound. I hope they can continue like this as the series progresses. Here is my review.

The graphics were awesome as usual, your simple character design never goes unnoticed. I love it though, you keep the characters simply done with very nicely detailed backgrounds. The colours are always bright, and certainly suit the blockhead style. The animation is very good too, i enjoy the facial expressions quite a bit, again they were pretty simple, but it was for the best. The style was awesome too, blockhead never dissapoints, or in other words you are a very consistant artist. The animating style is wonderful, could not be better for an idea like this. This episode didnt have a point for the most part, hilarious none the less. The sound was awesome as well, i loved the voice acting yet again. The sound effects added a bit of humour to some of the jokes, such as the cup of lemonade smashing on the ground. The quality is always nice as well.

Overall this was an awesome movie and another great Blockhead episode. It is only natural after seeing these first 5, that i have high expectations for the upcoming episode, and based on your consistancy so far i dont think you will dissapoint. Keep up the wonderful work man!

The-Swain responds:

I like to hear that some people, such as yourself, think the series is going uphill instead of down. Thanks for the meticulous review - this is the kind of criticality I use to try to make the episodes better.

Also - I worked twice as hard and long, still by myself, on the animation and art this time. I'm glad it payed off; thanks for mentioning it!

Very nicely done, with only one main problem!

This was really good, on all aspects. It was easy to be amused and even amazed by at some points, and this also shows you have plenty of talent, not as if this was your first good submission or anything, but after this you dont need anything else to prove it. What im saying is you should use those talents to more of your advantage, often your submissions are just too short for me to get the full feeling out of it. Other than that in this case, everything was great, and still very amusing. Here is my review.

The graphics were just awesome, your visuals are always quite impressive, and this is one thing a longer submission can help improve even further by showing even more of your talents at once. The drawings were incredible as they always are with your stuff, i love your style as well, very colourful, unique, and definitely creative. The colours were again in this one very well done, from the pink octopus to the new employee. The background artwork was wonderful, amazing drawings and a very cool overall appearance. The animation and lip sync was fantastic, and ill leave it at that. The style was very good, almost a 10, its just because of the length that i didnt give it perfect. The idea was pretty clever, having a new carnivore of an employee, and of course terroizing the office. The animating style was near perfect for this too. Presentation was excellent, you gave all the characters personalities in a short amount of time. The sound was awesome too, there wasnt anything "bad" here. There were some things that were just awesome, but not perfect. The voice acting was superb, cool tones to them, and i really loved the robotic voice. The sound effects were very good, if only i had more time to listen to a wider variety. The music was cool, good additions and added to the mood of the movie. The humour was good too, i would have liked to see a few more jokes here and there but good nonetheless.

Overall this was a very good animation, on all levels at that. I hope your next submission can be longer than this one, so everyone will have more time to enjoy your wonderful visuals, characters, and ideas. Either way keep submitting your animations to the portal!

EdSkudder responds:

Thank you for the wonderful review and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
And I agree about the length - I wanted to make a longer movie this time, but the deadline for the competition put an end to that haha. However, the next animation I'm working on now will be MUCH longer than this one and feature a much wider variety of everything. Hopefully I'll finish it!
Thanks again for the review and for watching! :)

Awesome! More Wonderful Randomness!

Very nice job on this, i always really enjoy random artwork like this, usually because it is upbeat and the visuals are impressive. People who can successfully make a nice random flash like this have talent for animation, and if they dont have sufficient animating ability they will fail. This shows you have all the talent necessary, to make a very well animated flash. Your stuff is always impressive and this is no exception. Here is my review.

The graphics were awesome for a number of reasons. It was cool to see all your experimental animating styles in this one movie. The drawings were always pretty nicely coloured and detailed. Many of the characters were your trademark ones, but then there were some other cool styles as well. The FBF animation was really well done in this too, it was very smooth the entire way through, and it was truly some of the better FBF animation i have seen. The style was awesome, partly thanks to the many cool animating styles i saw in this. Perhaps you make can some of the clips more varied, because i feel i saw some of them more than once. The idea is just "random", but you presented it well anyways, most artists cant do this very well. The sound was great even though it was just that song. I didnt like the song all that much, but at least it was boring and it did suit the flash pretty well.

Overall this was randomness nearing its best. I really was amused by this, and impressed as well. You should try and do more random things, maybe in more of a story like context, that would be something interesting to see. Anyways keep submitting your stuff to the portal.

Best review I´ve ever gotten.

Thanks alot for the support.

Great! A start to another great series!

This was a very good start to what appears to be another great series on NG. I was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out, it came out very amusing and well done in each aspect. There was a large number of random incidents in this, which made it even more amusing in a way, everything was always unpredictable, and appeared original. I can honestly say i have not seen anything like this before. Anyways here is my review.

The graphics were great overall, there were a few points where i was actually very impressed with the animation. The drawings are great, they are simple but they do the job, and are perfect for the idea of the flash in my opinion. The colours were nothing special, they were basic and were just good enough. The animation was kind of funny at some points, like when you got lazy and the walking was just them moving up and down. That gave me a bit of a laugh! The style was awesome overall, for a few reasons as well. It was all pretty random and original at the same time. I liked how the characters' names were Dude1,Dude2 and Dude3, its just a funny way of doing things. The style of humour was pretty creative, you managed to be very random yet very funny at once. The sound was great too, the voice acting was just good enough and the expression was sufficient where you needed some. Good sound effects as well, i just liked the sound overall.

Overall this was a funny movie with a very satisfying length and presentation. I really hope the next episodes can live up to this one, if this was only a pilot than im expecting more from the following episode. I have a good feeling you wont dissapoint!
~Two Thumbs Way Up! 5/5

burtonearny responds:

The names came simply from when I was initially writing the script I was coming up with script ideas before names, so I game them the temporary names "Dude 1", "Dude 2" and "Dude 3"... which is why the characters appear in that order in the episode. Then I just decided the names were just stupid enough to work if I left them like that! Plus it gives me opportunity for various jokes in future episodes and such. Thanks for the extensive and complimentary review!

I havent been on NG in so long, this redesign might bring me back!
