One of the only good Madness not made by Krinkels!

Everyday in the portal there are Madness Tributes, games and remakes but none of them manage to impress even a little bit like the real thing. But this collab ,however, did impress and was very entertaining all the while. Every clip was showed some good talent from each of the others and all stayed true to the Madness series in one way or another. The one problem I had is how every animation style, except DaVeB0t's, were the same and usually in collab I really enjoying seeing a whole bunch of different ones come together. Considering this, it still didnt really take away from how entertaining this was.

My favourite clips were DaVeB0t's and Doodfayz' because those two stood out as as unique to me. The addition of comics and short clips, along with the great actual collab leads to a very well done submission!

YK-Blaze responds:

thanks! d00dfayz and davebot did make unique parts that what made this collab into a good one davebot used a diffrent madness style while d00dfayz made a funny one the rest was action(there were some other funny stuff..) anyways thanks

Hilarious!

Who knew a single joke could be so funny. This part in the amazing movie 300 has consistantly been parodied and YMTD'd but even after all those this is one of the funnier ones without a doubt. I would have never guessed the elongated version of "SPARTA" could be so funny. But on top of the humour, the animation was actually not half bad even if there wasnt that much to it.

Anyways good stuff man. Id like to see more!

CountLessFilms responds:

thx dude . dont worry there is more cartoons coming . that one took me just a day to do . and that is not including the backgrounds.
any way thx for the comment

Interesting concept.

This is certainly one of the better Sonic based submissions I can think of for a number of reasons. One of these reasons is that everything about this (other than the characters themselves) is completely original. The concept of a dark comedy and the plot of Sonic trying to stop the Evil Sonic and get his own body back is a very creative and original. Im surprised at how successfully you pulled the drama/dark comedy style off, the well-selected music made all the difference here. This is also the kind of thing I'd expect to see as a Halloween special of some sort. The voices were also superbly done, though the audio quality could have been clearer. The one thing I would say to improve on is the smoothness of the animation, because the drawings themselves are good for the most part already.

Keep up the effort in the upcoming parts, I really want to see how this series progresses!!

Comick responds:

Yup! Audio needs work ^^; But I also cant stress how much I loved the voice actors and thier work. Without them, this cartoon would not have been possible. I only hope to make the audio better so that thier voices are heard the way they should be heard, because I feel its my audio work at fault. But I WILL try harder! And thanks for the well thought out review ^^

Great Parody.

You can tell this is a parody made by an author who definitely played his fair share of GoldenEye for the Nintendo64 back in the day or maybe even now. While the animation and the voices were not spectacular, this was really true to GoldenEye in a sense, and was quite funny. I remember doing some of these things back when I played this game such as shooting the dead enemy multiple times just to rub it in.

Anyways this seems well thought out, Im looking forward to seeing the other parts!

Danny-G responds:

Yes, I was very obssesed(still am) with the game. It is my all time favorite game and played it for so many hours back in the day.

My love for the game was the driving force behind making this movie and not my animating skills, which explains why the animation isn't so great but the "feel of the game" in the movie is.

I also loved shooting the dead bodies and even more in the multiplayer.

Thanks for the good comments and for watching the movies! :)

Very decent but again, too short.

It is obvious why your girlfriend liked this because it was kind of touching and well done. The one problem I noticed however is only the length and besides that everything was excellent. I really liked the visuals actually, I can definitely remember your animation style from some of your previous submissions. It looks as though its anime, with your own unique touch to it. I dont know exactly what was in the box, but I thought it was going to be something that would hit her in the face; i was wrong. I also liked the music that was playing along with the white background.

Anyways continue with the good work.

VictorVonVice responds:

lenght of the flash was the reason why I hesitated to submit to Newgrounds D:. but looking at the score I can see thats not the case. thank you for your review :)

Charming.

For some reason i seemed to really enjoy that despite the lack of what you would usually find in a great flash (action and laugh out loud humour). Though it could have been anything,I think I enjoyed this because of your unique art style, the funny conversation they were having and the weird mix of characters. I really liked the use of colour only in certain objects, possibly to set them apart from others. The expressions on the characters sometimes were funny enough to warrant a smile. I loved the whole atmosphere of the conversation as well, just like four friends arguing over something pointless.

Anyways I really enjoyed this. dont stop here!

AkaiHato responds:

Thanks! I am a fan of pointless conversations as well. Somedays I like to watch helicopters explode (...in movies), and some days I like to listen to rambling conversations between people I know.

Very Well Done!

Nice job on this movie, you have definitely set this up for a series in the future, though I dont know exactly what youre plans are. Though it was not necessarily original nor the most technically advanced flash out there, it did manage to be one of the more atmospheric flashes I have seen in recent memory: the music was a perfect choice for this and how it started off quiet and slowly got more intense as the action ramped up.

I hope you will make a series out of this, if you do it is off to a good start!

Gi-go responds:

Well this is my second zombie movie with this character, I dont plan on making a third.

Thanks!

Excellent work!

This was truly a great movie in every way. To be honest i was expecting something more serious, kind of like a war movie of some sort. But what i got was pretty much the opposite, and this was probably for the best anyways becauseit turned out really well. This movie was filled with a unique style and a sense of humour we dont see too much of on Newgrounds. And i always think it is nice to see a type of Newgrounds promotion on the site itself. Anyways here is my review.

The graphics were fairly simplistic for the most part but still very good nonetheless. What i mean by this is that they dont have all that much detail but still look very nice. The Newgrounds tank along with the old and new tankmen looked pretty accurate. The men maybe looked a bit more cartoony, but still very good. The backgrounds were pretty simple as well, but i really enjoyed how they kind of resembled the 5 shades of Orange, that is if there was one. The style was awesome too, and a huge part of this aspect has to do with the animating style. With more than half of the submissions i review this does not happen; the animating style is usually just extra. The sense of humour also helped out here because it was unique, perhaps a little crude and very funny. Most of the jokes were a little crude, but it doesnt matter because they were very funny. The length was pretty good too, i couldnt really ask for more in a flash like this. And like i said before, these types of Newgrounds promotions are always at least a little bit amusing. The sound was awesome too, not quite perfect because i felt there could have been a bit more to it. The voice acting was pretty funny, good expressions and there was just something about them that made them even better than usual. The music playing in the background was pretty funny as well, it made the atmosphere comical.

So overall i pretty much couldnt ask for more in a flash this solid. It had great visuals, a great and unique style, and a good set of voices to back it all up. I say make this into a series if you didnt already plan on it. Keep up the great work.

CHRIST ON A STICK THAT WAS GOOD.

Solid!

This was actually quite good. Believe it or not but me and the rest of X_Aldin Productions have been making Real Life FPS for quite some time, and we still think this is very well made. Its also good to see more artists use a generally unheard of style to make their movies. Here is my review.

The visuals are just about as good as they can get in a Real Life FPS movie. The many flash special effects that you added in are something X_Aldin hasnt done very much of yet, as we are not "flash" artists. But they really worked out, i couldnt help but notice the blood right off the bat. We got some comments before saying that we should add it in. Based on some of the comments you guys received, they didnt like the blood. All the things such as the health bar, the ammo counter, and the periodic Duke Nukem quotes all worked REALLY well. The style was excellent. I would love to see this style become a bit more used in the future. This FPS was a little different than our movies because it was more of an actual flash movie than our stuff is. It was a bit longer too than our average, i dont quite know how you managed so many sound effects and effects in this with that filesize, nice work. The sound was great, there were sound effects for everything, along with some good voice clips, and a solid song playing in the background. The footsteps really worked out, i liked how they actually changed depending on what kind of floor you were walknig on. However, i think the gunshot could have been more powerful sounding. This even had a little humour, we try to put some in our own movies once in a while.

So overall this was a very well made Real Life FPS, and i was certainly excited to first see this. It was good in every way pretty much, you even had a very nice house to work with! I want to talk to you further about Real Life FPS if possible, so just e-mail X_Aldin productions or just leave a private message in the inbox. Thanks a bunch, and congrats on a great movie.

Excellent review, thank you so much for the critism and support, I hope to talk to you more in the future.

What can I say? Excellent work yet again!

You still have yet to fail to simply amaze me with one of your submissions to Newgrounds. I still believe that you are the most talented flash artist on the entire site, and quite possibly even all the sites that host flash that i have visited before. Of course, the Bitey series is one of the best on Newgrounds, if not its the best depending on what kind of stuff you like to watch. This one was surely not something similar to what you usually do. This was purely "an action sequence" as you called it, while your other movies may have a bit of action, but are usually based around some sort of simple story or problem that Bitey finds himself in. Either that or they are telling a story by itself, for example Hitchhiker. Since this was different i suppose it was a bit of a risk, but you certainly pulled it off. Here is my review.

The visuals....absolutely incredible. This is one of the main things that got you totally famous as an artist. I think this is what many people still know you best for. They were as close to flawless as i have ever seen flash graphics come. The drawings of everything were awesome. From what you ended your last submission i would have thought the YuYu were much bigger. But they still looked really scary and at the same time very interesting. I loved how they sort of resembled a dark shadow. Bitey of course looked great as always. The colours were perfect to show that it was nightime, you always do a great job of sunsets, afternoon, morning and nighttime, showing what time of day it is basically. The backgrounds were fantastic, i have always loved the Brackenwood scenery, its always different but still resembles this mysterious planet. The animation was also extremely well done. The cloud of the YuYu looked very smooth as it chased after Bitey. And you did a great job of making everything seem very fast paced and exciting.

The style was also deserving of a perfect 10. Although i think i prefer the styles of your more story based flash movies, this one was still great, but in another way. As i said, this one was purely action, it was a good way to change things up with your fans. As always the animating style was mind blowing, you have your very own artistic style that i think many people want to be able to do. Its always fun to see continuations, because it makes the plot in the second part much more interesting. The action was definitely fast paced, it was also a bit intense to an extent. But even with all of this, you managed to keep this installment true to the rest of the series. The idea was great and the presentation was fantastic. I can not pick out a single flaw in this aspect.

The sound was not quite as indepth as it usually is, but i still enjoyed it quite a bit. I can see why you loved this song so much for an introduction that you had to make a longer movie showcasing the song. It would have been nice to hear some other sound effects along with the song, but since you used the song so well i couldnt help but love the sound anyways.

Overall this was yet another excellent submission from you. It was worth the wait since your last submission, and i hope i will be able to feel the same way as your upcoming submission. Keep the quality of the visuals high, keep coming with as much humour as littleFoot had, and keep on coming with the amazing sounds andmusic you have been using so far. Congrats!

chluaid responds:

Hey Chris! thanks a lot for the in-depth review man.. very much appreciated.

With regards to the point you made about the sound, I totally agree that more sound effects would have been nice. After adding some major sound effects at key points in the movie though (wind and waterfall), the file size was already too high and I didn't wanna push it. When I put this movie on DVD, I will probably add quite a bit more sound to really deepen the audio experience :)

On your point about action vs my usual sprawling atmospheric style, I have always wanted to do a complete action movie, but it has always been quite daunting knowing that there is so much more pencil mileage involved. Even after making this relatively short movie, my entire arm from shoulder to wrist is still recovering. This is because at 30fps, there are (*quick calculation*) well over 10,000 individual drawings of Bitey, YuYu and backgrounds in those 3 minutes. So while I've always wanted to do full-on action, the sweeping beauty shots and limited movement are more practical (at least for as long as I'm working alone).

Thanks once again for taking the time to review so thoroughly. *bows*
