[Gen-X : Chapter 1]

This was awesome, truely impressive.

Wow, cool sticks. Very cool! I love when a new author makes a powerful debut to Newgrounds, with a couple a good movies. And my friend you did just that. Your first to Newgrounds was good, and this is just awesome. And it seems to be the start to a couple great new things, the series Gen-X, and even more importantly your career. Way to go on nearly a perfect first episode. Here is my review.

The graphics were simply awesome, i mean they were sticks, but they were crazy cool. There have only been a few instances where there has been cool sticks in a movie. And they have all turned out great, this is no exception. The backrounds were very nice more than most of the time. The colours were excellent too, very nice and they actually added quite a bit to graphics. I loved the animation too, smooth. The style of this movie was good enough to be considered perfect in my opinion. Your animating style was incredible, as i said well animated stix dont come around very often. The backrounds had a nice, pleasant style to them too. The idea is awesome, it had some familiar elements from other stories i remember. But the bulk of it was original and surprisingly well presented. Your story was damn cool man, i liked how you actually used your authors comments well, telling anyone willing to read it about the story. And i found it awesome. The sound was excellent too. The sound effects were very cool and each one seemed to be well placed and effectively used. The voice acting was usually superb. There were moments in Gen's voice where i found it a tad corny but in general every single voice was good.

Overall this was an awesome first episode, you need to keep the next chapters this good on preferably better than this. It will be a challenge but you can do it. Keep up all the great work man! 5/5

[Proto Tribute]

Just plain action packed!

Very good, this was a very good tribute for sure. Even if it is a tribute it is right to put a lot of effort into it. I still wish it could have been longer because it was cool and exciting, but it didnt last too long. That was the only thing i wasnt totally happy with in this. Here is my review.

The graphics were good enough for an 8. They were solid on each level. The drawings reminded me of the Madness series, but without copying them line for line. They were smooth and often nicely detailed. I liked the animating style too, it was fairly simple but for this kind of movie it was almost perfect. I didnt see as many colours as i thougt i would but i think the graphics would look nice either way. The style of this movie was great as well, iliked your animating style quite a bit. But thats not it, the idea was cool, perhaps a little unclear but i did know this was a tribute. A very nice one, effort always goes a long way. The sound was awesome in this though, all the sound effects were extremely cool. And im surprised the file size was fairly small for all those high quality pieces of music and sound effects. Nice work!

Overall a great job, and a great score is there to show it. Please make more flash in the near future, high quality movies are always appreciated. Keep up the good work! 4/5

["The Mustache Contest"]

Awesome, very nice!

Great work on this. The title is a bit decieving, movies with that title often come out very badly, but this was certainly nowhere near bad. It was awesome! Everything about it was done in a way where i dont see any reason you could possibly hate this. It was so charming, unique, creative, i couldnt help but smile while watching this. Here is my review.

The graphics were definitely awesome. I will say that i was slightly worried when i saw the first image, i thought the graphics were going to be bad, but wow they really rocked. I loved your drawings, they may not be 100% accurate, detailed, or beautiful, but they were so charming and often funny i couldnt help but like them. It also shows you have talent for animation, and the animation was smooth throughout. The style of this movie was certainly different than what im used to but it really turned out nicely. Your animating style was charming, and funny, and never went a moment without making me smile :). The idea is simple, but you could almost say cute! The presentation was just great as well. The sound was actually impressive. I loved the sound effects, they all appeared to be homemade. And the voice acting was simply lovely.

Overall this was a funny submission that deserves a high score. Im glad people are still submitting creative movies to the portal. Congrats and keep it up! 4/5

[Star Wars Gangsta Rap: SE]

Awesome!

Very good stuff in this movie man. Its been such a long time since i first saw it and i loved it. I wish i reviewed it earlier, but here i am now. Every little thing about this was either awesome, or great,nothing was worse. Its great to see many good flash of last year,before the times i started coming to Newgrounds. Its good checking out all the top50 submissions, and im glad to say this deserves to be here.

The graphics were basically good enough for a 10 except for one thing. Some characters didnt quite have enough detail in them. But the drawings were excellent, and the backrounds were as well, they were always detailed. The animation is what i was most impressed with about the graphics, it was incredibly smooth and seemed to be effort packed. The style was perfect in my opinion, your animating style really complemented everything in this. Your idea is awesome too, making a funny rap out of a famous series, Star wars. It was done very well, in a way that it can appeal to anyone who watches it. The sound was awesome, despite a quality problem here and there. I really loved the song, the effort you put into making it amusing, funny and flat out good was just good to see. I would personally listen to it on my own time. I dont even have to mention how funny this was :).

Overall this was awesome, and certainly deserving of its spot in the top 50. I hope i can see even more of your movies today. and i hope you never get worse at what you do! Awesome work! 5/5

Great work again man!

Great job, you have 2 good submissions in recent days, and i was definitely impressed with both of them. Its good to see such messages in a flash, you dont get much of that anymore, or you never really did see good messages, though there were exceptions. But great work on everything in this. Here is my review.

The graphics were great, the faces looked like they were from south park, but in this case it was a very good thing. You totally designed the rest of the character. The drawings were all great, nicely detailed at points. The backrounds were actually quite impressive, very detailed and they really gave the mood of being deep in a city. The style of this movie was great as well, i really like your animating style. The idea and presentation was great, just like in your last movie. I also love the messages or morals you have in your last 2 flash. The sound was good, and it definitely did its job, way to go on that,

Overall this was a great movie, i hope you can continue to make more in the near future. I love your stuff, keep it up

[SSAM #1]

Touching piece of work!

Great work on this. I read from a couple reviews that this had a south park style to it, and i must say i was getting worried about that. But then i watched it and it turned out great in unique ways. The south park style was actually done better than in the real show, you should be their lead animator ;). Well theres not much else to say here...here is my review.

The graphics were great in this movie, the south park style was done extremely well. The drawings were all great, often nicelt detailed. And the exact same goes for the backrounds, you seemed to put a lot of effort into both. The animation was nicely done as well, a solid graphical presentation overall. The style to this movie was great and not just because of your animating style. I loved the idea and presentation of that idea. It was a very touching story, and it felt as though it could be real. Now i just have to see more of your stuff. The sound was nicely done and actually added a lot to the final product, nothing else to say.

Overall this was a great movie, and i think the score is there to show it, not the review score however. Anyways i liked this, doesnt listen to people who give bad reviews with one negative comment. Congrats on this and im looking forward to seeing more of your work! 4/5

[LL - Screen Episode 1]

Great work. Go Lock Legion!

You guyz are so consistant when you want to be. I mean i have seen so many great movies by you guys, but there were some that have been dissapointed and seemed effortless. The veterans of the Lock Legion always put effort into their movies and that i like about them. This is adds on to the reasons why i like you guys better than the clock crew. Here is my review.

The graphics were just as i like them to be in any lock submission. The drawings and colours were very smooth, i need to see this in any lock submission, because as soon as i do i know the movie will be good. The shadow effects are simple but they really add a lot to the graphics. The smooth animation is another thing that is signature to good lock movies, and this had a lot of it. The style of this movie was great, but there were a few things i found could have been done differently. Your animating style was very nice first of all. But i didnt like the scene changes very much, the static was a cool idea, but then they got too numerous and lengthy. Try to change that for that next episode. The sound was greaat as well, the robotic voices were good but they all kind of sounded too similar. The sound effects were very good though.

Overall this was yet another great Lock Legion movie, it was fun to watch and it seems to be the start of a great new lock legion series. Make the next episodes as good as this or better. Keep it up! 4/5

Thanks for the lengthy and helpful review. I'm really glad you can differentiate those who work hard in the LL from those who are there for the ride. That's a characteristic most people can't seem to acquire. It seems to be "OFMG I SAW ONE BAD LL MOVIE ALL OF THEM SUCK" or "I SEE OTHER PEOPLE HATING ON THE LL SO I'LL JOIN IN GGGGGGG-UNIT." it is actually quite a relief to know that at least one person one this ite has common sense (and from a lot of the other reviews I've gotten it's plenty more than just one.)

The scene changes certainly seem to big todays hot button. Maybe instead of sticking by my own artistic integrity I should let one slide by. Next time, I will have no more than 2 static transitions.

Amazing!

This was truely amazing work guys. Every little thing was awesome. I must admit i thought this movie was going to be a bit noobish because of what you said in your authors comments. You seemed worried about how successful or not successful this would be. But i think based on its score and how much i liked it you succeeded with flying colours. A years work really shows in this, way to pack in the effort guys. I wish i have seen and/or remembered the other episodes to see how much you improved. Here is my review.

The graphics were awesome, seriously! I havent seen such effort in a sprite movie for quite some time, i think since Rise of Mushroom Kingdom 4. Well i could see effort in every direction, no matter where i looked. The sprites were chosen nicely and it even seems you made some of your own. The detail in the environments and backrounds wasnt amazing, but it did the job and still gave the proper feel of the levels. The animation with the sprites was always fast paced, yet controlled. By that i mean it was always easy to know what was going on. The style of this movie was nothing short of awesome as well. I mean the constant action and violence took a toll on my mind! I also liked the story at the beginning where it really showed itself. The sound was again awesome! You had too many sound effects to count, and thats a great thing as it shows a huge amount of effort and care for your movie. The voice acting did have its moments, but in general the expressions for the characters emotions were a tad off.

Overall this was an awesome movie, and hence, deserving of an awesome score and review, so here ya go! : ). I hope the other parts are as good as this. Keep the greatness coming to the portal!! 5/5
