Great way to finish off the case!

This final part of the case was great. Just like in the real game, all the unanswered questions were summed up and solved by Phoenix Wright. Once again, this part stayed true to the series of games, this time with a really exciting ending. In this case, the people unfamiliar with the series experienced how Phoenix will at some point be losing the case and must come back against the odds to achieve a Not guilty verdict for his client. In the 2 games so far, there were also heated courtroom discussions/battles between Phoenix and the opposing prosecutor and these final 3 parts did this nicely. Also the last 3 parts were a little bit longer and the actual gameplay kicked in.

Despite all the good things I mentioned, I do have a few general critiques for all or most parts. The English here and there is a little off as I have mentioned before, but considering how fun the rest of the game was, this is easily excusable. It was a little bit awkward playing all the parts separately so in future movies it would be nice if you could manage to lower the filesize to make maybe a total of 3 parts. And in 4th part I noticed that during the Cross-Examination if you clicked forward then back again, the music would overlap and have 2 tracks of the same thing playing at once. Lastly, you could skip a lot of the challenges just by pressing Next constantly.

Overall this was a fun set of 6 games, with little to be dissapointed about. The few things that I myself would change are easily overlooked because this stays so true to the series, the courtroom drama, great dialogue, and familiar sounds and visuals, that the small mistakes do not really matter. Keep up the good work in all future submissions, looking forward to your next!

Thank you :)

I already have some ideas to make a better one next time.

Not the best part so far, but still good.

This part seemed like more of a filler-episode than anything else, but at least a good one. The dialogue was just as interesting as in the previous parts, though like I said last time, the grammar is a little bit off. This part also did set up the actual case nicely.

The visuals were just like the other parts, with the returning characters and the good menu screens. I did notice this time around how plain the court record is with just a black screen as its background. It would be nice to see something else inside of it. The sound was good, once again you seemed to choose some of the more memorable songs from the game.

Overall, another fun part. I am really excited to see how the other parts turn out. Nice job.

ps: you're really inspiring me to make another one in another form :P

Better! The story is really coming along!

This part was certainly better than the last part, and it was longer as well. The storyline really started to come together in this part and it introduced some of the characters and just like the game, another possible suspect.

This second part also stays true to the series. This was easily seen with Detective Gumshoe and the fact that he always says "pal" in the game. The court record is starting to fill up as well, with items I certainly remember from the game, but its interesting how you make each one different than in the game by writing something different about it. The visuals and the sound were just the same as in the last part, which is a good thing. The one critism I have for this part is some of the english is a little off such as Evidences which shouldn't have an "s". If you fixed some of the spelling errors it would ultimately better the final product.

Overall this was a better Part 2 and I'm still really looking forward to playing the next 4 parts!!

XBatsuX responds:

Thanks again for your review.

I'm very sorry for the spelling errors... I'm good in english but not totally awesome either. lol (I'm a french-canadian, so I talk a rude french if you can say it like this lol).

Anyway your review still is great and makes me wanna do another game but not now. :P

Good start.

There are many parodies of this series, most of which go by some variation of the name "Phoenix Wrong". So in other words, it is very nice to see something that stays more true to the actual series, even if many of these parodies are hilarious.

This is the first Phoenix Wright game I have seen on the site so far, and it seems like it will become an interesting case before it's done. There wasn't a whole lot to the visuals other then a couple menu screens and the court record, everything else was the actual characters. (which in a game like this is a perfectly logical thing to do). Sometimes when the characters talked ,however, other parts of them would move along with the mouth such as the defendant's left side one time. The sound is good, and again all the music is from the game, but you seem to have chosen some of the better music they use so nice job on that.

Even though there wasn't a whole lot to this first part, I expect the whole thing will really come together by the end.

XBatsuX responds:

Thanks for you review. It's real that some Phoenix Wrongs are cool and funny.

For the sprite things that move when they talk, I had some problems to adjust them right. So that's why.
I've tried my possible to put them on on one but did that in the end.
Lol, but by that way you know they are talking :P

I have an idea for a next project... But not too soon (sorry :S) It'll be the same way but I'll try to make them in flash (characters and scene and all) with a different story.

Thanks again for your review, it warmed my heart :)

Not bad bud!

This was certainly a respectable first attempt at a passable flash. It seemed as though the effort was there, not only to make it look very cool, but also to make the noobs of this type of music get only a few correct and allow the experts to be extreme with it.

The graphics were pretty cool, very stylistic i guess you could say. The style was how you young peoplez say "fly" because it was kind of trippy but, you know still comprehensible. The song choice was pretty good for the most part, but some may have been even a tad obscure for the exparts. I loved the backwards segment! :P

So all in all, it was a very decent quiz. You may have a future ahead of you Bigboy, keep up the coolness.

Bigboymagee responds:

Hahaha, thanks Aldin. I did work fairly hard on this quiz so I'm glad to see that people are enjoying it. I suppose that some of the songs were rather difficult but I didn't want the quiz to be a joke.

My Favourite Game of Pico Day.

Though it is almost a week since Pico Day i havent been able to review this yet. It certainly deserves one in my opinion as it was probably my favourite game submitted on that day. I dont think the score is quite what it should be, many people just took this as an adventure/quiz type game, when if they love NG would have enjoyed so much more. I basically loved this game because of the memories of older NG characters, knowledge of some other ones, and also every other element backed this principle idea up well. The game never grew boring either, i thought it might turn out that you had to go from room to room, with the exact same enemies and difficulty of questions in each one, but luckily i was wrong. Here is my review.

The visuals were impressive. I could leave it at that but i certainly feel they need more explanation. Of course Pico looked pretty good, you could tell there was some real effort put into his design. The different enemies also looked pretty good. It was interesting to see the other little characters periodically in the rooms. And lastly the old NG characters usually looked funny/cool, depending on what they were. The first two types were perhaps a little bit simple, but they definitely worked out fine. The backgrounds were good, and the change of style from one level to the next was essential. The backgrounds sometimes didnt quite appear as they should be, however. Sometimes they were noticably lower in quality or the pillars seemed a bit awkward. The pictures were done by you right? Even if they werent they were used well and became an important part of the game.

The style was good enough in my opinion for a perfect 10. The animating style of this game was really only clearly seen through most of the pictures and obviously Pico. But this was just one of the many things that helped out with the style. Naturally since it was Pico Day and this was a Pico Themed submission, the general style of it was pretty awesome. The main focus of this game was obviously to make the viewers remember and to learn many things about Newgrounds. Maybe for some people it was just to see how much they knew about this site. And lastly i think it could be just to showcase your work, that is if all of that is yours. Either of these things or a combination of them certainly worked out for you here. You gave this a storyline too, it was all that deeply developped but it added a little bit to this aspect as well. Also you did a fantastic job of making the ending battle sequence really intense. I seriously enjoyed that part.

The sound was pretty awesome. I rather liked all the music playing in each level. The first tune was questionable at first but it quickly grew on me and fit in with everything else. The sound effects were pretty good, and they also fit in. The Very last piece of music (same as the protection theme) along with the other sound effects in this scene and the awesome drawing of G-Bot. Totally Epic! This game had some good violence, interactivity and some humour in there too.

Overall this was an excellent in just about every way. Great visuals, awesome style and everything else was good too. This game was really creative, and the idea was done very well. I wish more games like this would come around more often, using NG as their main theme. Anyways please kee up the great work both of you, im looking forward to see more.

Nice!

Great game man. I had the urge to play a totally random game or watch a totally random movie using the Random Entry feature. And i got lucky by finding this great submission! This game was actually really good in all aspects of flash, and they even all came together to make some really fun and addicting moments. I guess overall this game wasnt quite as fluent as it good be, but it still remained fun the whole time i was playing it. I also like the fact you were able to make a diverse game, with a few different mechanics and i guess genres put into one. Here is my review.

The visuals were, of the things that you focussed on, probably the weakest element, not to say they were bad in any way. They just werent fluent enough for me overall, i mean sometimes when the action grew intense everything started to get slightly choppy. Also, when your character was walking one direction and turned around, it looked awkward because he sort of skipped walking a few steps it seemed. But other than that the character design was pretty original, and fairly well detailed for being so small. The little map just looked good too. The enemies looked pretty cool, i would love to see them in a bigger form to see exactly how they really look. The style was awesome here, this game is very original for a number of reasons, the most obvious one being the diversity of it. There were probably 5 different game mechanics combined in this game, such as the "Space Shooter" type thing when youre on your board, adventure when your on the map looking for somewhere to go, or sort of like a race when you are trying to go through as many hoops as possible within the time limit. They were all really different from each other, and pretty fun as well. Its cool to see you actually cared to put a story in, makes the game more interesting in my opinion. The length of the game was also superb, i havent beat it yet! The sound was great too, when the action gfew intense i could tell it was supposed to be by just listening to the sounds. Good music selection for the most part, all the pieces of music i can remember really fit what was happening on screen.

To summarize my review, this was a great game with little flaws that dont really take away from it very much. It was very interactive, diverse, action packed and certainly well put together. In your future submissions, just keep doing what youre doing and youll be very successful! Way to go!

Thank you, that was seriously the best review I've ever recieved! Bravo to you my man!

Not bad at all!

Great game, truly fun for a little while. It was fairly addicting at first as well, i play it once and after that first try i really wanted to play it a few more times, obviously to get a better score. Everything you did in this was done pretty well actually, though they were all a little simple it is obvious you did this purposely, sort of like a KB game. Its good thing that i decided to check this out, it was just at the top of the list with a decent score. But i rather enjoyed it, so nice work. Here is my review.

The graphics were pretty good all the way around, i liked the little guy carrying the kite, hes fairly memorable and if you decide to do an animated series with him, it could really be a hit. All the animation was pretty good, the framerate never really went down even when the fish, or what appeared to be fish became numerous on the screen. I liked the background too, again it was pretty simple but i did as i think it was supposed to. Pleasant colours and fairly smooth drawings made it topped it off well. The style was great and all in all it was probably the best aspect in this game. It was a small game in both filesize and in content. But it was addicting and usually simplicity is the key to addicting games on the internet. The animating style was pretty good too, you could really make a full series with it. The game also played pretty nicely too, smooth running and the idea for gameplay was pretty original too. The sound was good, it did do as id basically expect it to, but not too much more. Its hard to do really well in sound with simple games like this.

Overall this was was a fun little game that deserves a good score, maybe a little bit better than it already has. I liked it, and it seems quite a few other people did too, i just hope you can keep making great submissions like this in the near future.

A Solid game.

Good game on every level for sure. I definitely was amused for a fairly long while, i was hoping to see a very different level everytime, and the NG Tank level, and the one with orange balls did that for me. However, many of the levels werent very difficult and werent very different from each other. Still as i said, the game remained fun enough to be playing it for quite some time and not feeling bored throughout. It definitely deserves a front page spot at least for a while. Here is my review.

The graphics were great, a bit simple sometimes but they more than did the job. The drawings were simple, sometimes they did have a fairly smooth looking style to them, so they still seemed pretty good. The animation was pretty good, again simple but i still enjoyed it. The dog didnt always come very close to the bowl it seemed. The colours were well done for the most part, it would have been interesting if you had the option of switching the colour of the line you drew. The visuals were well done overall. The style was great too, this was probably my favourite part about the game for a few reasons. The animating style was just one of many things that went to the style in this game. The idea was great, and pretty much completely original. The only other game in which i can think of an idea similar to this is Kirby Canvas Curse for the DS, but this is the first time in flash i have seen it. The presentation was good, but i felt i was playing the same level twice sometimes, the length of the game however was great. This game also ran pretty well, with all the physics and whatever else you had, but as i said before the dog didnt always touch the bowl or come very close to it. The sound was good and more than sufficient. The song fit this game pretty well, except for a single part that i can recall in the song. The extra sound effects topped it off well, but didnt add to much to the final product.

Overall this was a great game, for having good visuals but more importantly for trying something new and original. The game was fun, it entertained me for longer than many other games have on this site and that alone is an accomplishment. Keep the great submissions coming, i want to see or play more!

Now this is what reviews should look like, Great work! Thanks for all the good words!

Heh, fun game guys!

Awesome work, you guys represent consistancy at its finest. You make multiple movies, in a fairly short amount of time compared to other authors and theyre all really well done, showing lots of effort and determination in a way. Truthfully, i have yet to be dissapointed by any of your submissions that ive seen, but i wouldnt quite consider myself a fan yet. I definitely will be soon if you can keep this up for a longer time. This submission was indeed different than your recent ones, because it was a game. Anyways here is my review.

The graphics were awesome, they didnt quite live up to your last set of visuals in a Very Klunk xmas however, because simply there wasnt as much animation. Everything else was pretty much the same though, from the drawings to what ever animation you had. The drawings were very detailed again, and i always enjoy the facial expressions on your characters, usually theyre smiling, but in this case it was one really drunk klunk, and it did look pretty funny! The colours were all good again and the visuals as a whole were just great! The style was very good, in a game the style is pretty much how fun it is, and this was extremely amusing. I must have played roughly 5 or 6 times before reviewing it. But it really was an interesting game with fairly unique game mechanics, like the balancing itself or when your on the floor, you get more sober but lose score, and a few other little things made the game quite fun. The highscores didnt quite work for me though, i wonder how i did? The sound was cool too, for some reason i really enjoyed the song in the main menu, it was very cheery and fit the game somehow. The voice of the pub owner was funny too, and all the sounds just made the sound something worth listening too.

Overall this was an awesome game, with a set of game mechanics that come together to form a very fun game. Everything else was done well too, and its cool you actually used one of your familiar characters that people would definitely remember from your other recently submitted submission. Anyways please keep up the great work!

Thanks man! I appreciate a thorough review, not just some half-assed remarks like we tend to get on these. Thanks for putting some thought into it. I appreciate it. Granted, there are always things that can be better, (that has been my mentality forever) I think the game was pretty fun. Thanks for playing and stoppin' in!

I havent been on NG in so long, this redesign might bring me back!
